It doesn’t have to be stressful to transform your home into a festive environment for family and friends this holiday season. By adding some simple trimmings and décor to things you already have, you will turn your space merry and bright in no time at all!
The easiest way to add seasonal décor throughout your space is to use trays. I’m going to show you my ultimate home décor piece that can be used in any room in your home. Whether decorating the living room coffee table, side table or the entry way console, trays are the most versatile item you can use in home décor.
I have a wide variety of sizes and styles of trays in my collection that I use all year long. They are an easy way to bring a few items together and make a big impact. Any vignette has more of a punch if it is cohesive and well-proportioned so I will share a few of my tray décor.
This small wood star tray is just right for a side table or to add some Christmas cheer to your kitchen countertop. Use some greenery off the bottom of your real tree or cut some small piece off of faux garland or wreath you have.
Trays make a centerpiece easy to pull together. This oversize oval wood tray can be used on the dining room table or on a kitchen island. If you need to clear the table, it is easy to pick it up on move it aside. I like to repeat ornaments on my tree in different areas around the house to pull it all together and keep things simple. You can pull this together quickly with what you already have.
This galvanized tray is the work horse of my collection. I use it to serve drinks, appetizers and for décor all year long. I love to use greenery where ever I can and it really adds a punch of color to this display. I kept this one monochromatic with lots of texture and added height for a more interest.
A simple round wood tray with handles can be used is so many different ways. I like to add height to balance the width so I paired this angel candle holder with stacked books. I normally stick to the rule of at least three items and in this example the tray is the third item. Things grouped in odd numbers are more interesting.
Let’s add some Christmas décor to you outdoor living space with this rustic long tray filled with oversized pinecones, greenery and some distressed ornaments. I like using natural elements in porch décor with just a little bit of metal. Simple and easy but oh so pretty y’all!
