The Boys & Girls Club of Franklin/Williamson County served “roast legend” at its 18th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner. On the grill this year was Tennessee Titans legendary running back, Eddie George. Roasters included Rudy Kalis, Brad Hopkins, John Dwyer, Nashville Vice-Mayor Howard Gentry, Coach Jeff Fisher and more. Youth of the Year was awarded to Rikkita Adkinson and Cynthia Vaughn, and eight “Life Board Members” were announced.

Prim and Paper hosted a Girls’ Night Out shopping event on March 9. Women from around Williamson County enjoyed wine and appetizers as they previewed the new spring merchandise and enjoyed shopping specials.

BrightStone hosted “Music That Touches the Heart 5” in The Factory at Franklin to raise funds to further its efforts in helping adults with special needs. The evening, hosted by Laura Hill, included performances by Steven Curtis Chapman, John Prine, Ed Hill, Josh Kear, David Lee, Wynonna Judd and several more.
Sweetwater Feb. 20
Today’s Choices Inc. held its first-ever fundraiser for Sweetwater House in Ghana, Africa at Liberty Hall in The Factory at Franklin. The event raised more than $100,000 to support the 23 girls who live at the house in Accra, Ghana.
African American Heritage Society
The theme of the sixth annual African American Heritage Society’s Black Tie Affair on Feb. 2 at the Embassy Suites was “Celebrating Black Business: Then & Now.” Proceeds from the evening benefit the McLemore House Museum and other Society projects.
