The Downtown Franklin Rotary Club teamed up with non-profit One Gen Away to come up with a food drive to help those in need around the holidays. One Gen’s mission is to Wipe Out Hunger. The Downtown Franklin Rotary Club broke up into teams and competed for who could bring in the most donations to help One Gen Away and Downtown Franklin Rotary Club member Elaine Whitney. Shelley and Mike Moeller of Harpeth True Value took one of their company trucks and loaded it with food from Publix in Berry Farms. The club provided 12,680 meals from the food drive. The food drive took place in December and included a visit from Santa (aka Franklin Fire Chief Glenn Johnson.)
