“There is nothing more important or more valuable than mentoring the next generation of talent. Today’s young people will become tomorrow’s civic and business leaders. The women’s leadership conference is one the best annual events that helps further develop women leaders. Through a combination of inspiring and engaging speakers, the WLC provides content and connections that help with leadership and career growth,” says Paige Thompson, Women in Business chair.
The Williamson, Inc. Women’s Leadership Conference, presented by Vanderbilt Health, will be held on Aug. 24 from 8-10:30 a.m. at the Conservation Hall at the Tennessee Governor’s Residence.
Attendees will hear how local female leaders have paved the way for personal success and left a smoother road behind them to bring other leaders. A full house of female professionals is expected to attend to connect with one another while digging deeper into what mentorship and inclusion looks like at any career stage.
Three keynote speakers will share their leadership lessons and career advice in 20-minute sessions in a TED Talks format. Breakfast will also be served during a networking hour from 8-9 a.m. before the program.
The Women’s Leadership Conference is a highly anticipated event with 25% of tickets pre-sold.
“It is a wonderful group of women to be a part of,” says Jodi Rall, Women in Business committee member. “I love meeting new women in business, networking and learning from them. During the pandemic, Williamson, Inc. leadership did a fantastic job keeping us connected through virtual book clubs and Zoom calls.
“It’s going to be fantastic to see everyone back in person for this leadership conference.”
“The WLC is an incredible opportunity not just for networking, but for personal and professional growth as well. And this year, we get to gather in person again. I can’t wait,” says Christina Ryan, Women in Business vice chair.
This event is open to both members and guests of Williamson, Inc., and advance registration is required at www.williamsonchamber.com.
