Ready to get out of your safer-at-home cut-off shorts and t-shirts? While there aren’t many social opportunities to showcase your style and fashion this summer, we found a great one for you! One of the year’s most anticipated fashion events is the Iroquois Steeplechase where color, textures, hats and bow ties compete for photo worthy nods.
This year, on the date the Iroquois Steeplechase was to run, you can now get your own “Party in a Box!” Since you can’t be in your box on June 27, the Iroquois Steeplechase will bring the box to you – for a price. The box is an over-the-top party kit and you and your friends can gather safer-at-home to enjoy the day and celebrate your own fashion.
On June 27, enjoy News Channel 5’s “Iroquois Steeplechase – Nashville’s Grand Tradition,” featuring highlights throughout the years and the history of the Iroquois Steeplechase, the most exciting races and the parties that have taken place.
Your “Party in a Box” starts with a wooden box hand crafted by local artisan Doug Regen with the Iroquois Steeplechase branding. A limited-edition Iroquois Steeplechase 1.75 liter of Gentleman Jack will get the party started along with Bang Candy Company’s exhilarating Lavender Mint Simple Syrup and mint julep cups. See where we’re going here? At some levels of donations, you even get your own personal bartender!
Fashion enthusiasts will appreciate that Iroquois Steeplechase and Kentucky Derby Milliner Christine A. Moore has designed custom-made branded face masks for your guests (10 total) and the Clayton Collection is providing a custom bespoke shirt to the hosts or hostesses who purchase the first ten boxes. Don’t forget dazzling jewelry! King Jewelers is providing a “Box of Carats” for your guests, and while most are cubic zirconia, one is real. Take yours to the store to see if you landed a carat or a carrot.
This special “Party in a Box” will be hand delivered in style by Andrews Automotive Group, a longtime sponsor of the race. Packages range from $2,500 - $10,000. Cooler-At-Home Tailgating packages are also available for $500.
Call your party buddies, put on your best summer race fashion and celebrate safer-at-home. Fix a mint julep and enjoy previous races on News Channel 5 from 6 – 7 p.m. The perfect backdrop for your celebration of the pageantry of horse racing!
Plus, the cost of the boxes helps raise funds for the Iroquois Steeplechase, a 501 (c) (3) organization, so that they can continue as a viable organization and come back next year for the 80th Anniversary! The primary beneficiary of the grand tradition is The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Visit IroquoisSteeplechase.org for details.
