“It’s an inspiring home,” says Lisa Lisa Culp Taylor, LCT Team - Parks, listing agent for the house at 4208 Two Rivers Lane in Franklin.
Homeowner Jeremy Stover, a successful songwriter, says “This is an inspiring place.”
Two voices, the same observation.
The painted brick home which sits on 16-acres is filled with natural light. Windows and doors span the back of the family room, kitchen, nook, as well as the master bedroom on the main floor.
The 5,892 square-foot home just came on the market. It’s listed at $3 million. The home has five bedrooms and five and one-half baths. With lush landscaping surrounding the home, the lanai and the pool, the 16 acres is flat with a tree line at the back before the property opens to the West Harpeth River.
“We’ve loved the big lawn, the pool and the fishing and playing down at the river. The kids have plenty of room to play baseball, play with their friends and the pool is a real plus,” said Stover.
Covered porches span both the front and back of the home.
“My wife, Maile, and I head for the back porch most mornings to have coffee. Views of the pool and the land are a great start to the day,” said Stover.
The couple built the house almost five years ago. Trace Construction was the builder.
“We enjoy the building process,” said the songwriter. “My wife has a great eye, so she was heavily involved with the design. She loves natural light so there are windows and glass doors in abundance.”
The family is moving to the Green Hills area. They’ve purchased a lotand are in the planning and design phase for the new home. Trace Construction will again be the builder. The new one will carry over many of the features they love about Two Rivers, including the sparkling natural light.
Taylor describes the home asabsolutely pristine. “It looks like it has just been built. The colors throughout are soft neutrals, and the porches are comfortable and comforting. I would imagine some hit songs may have been written on that back porch,” she said.
The open concept has the family room, with its towering stone fireplace, the kitchen nook and the kitchen all open. A wall of glass doors and windows at the back contributes to the light filled space.
The spacious kitchen sports a honed granite island, white cabinetry and glistening marble on the countertops and backsplash. Top notch appliances are in stainless steel.
“It’s beautiful,” says Taylor. “It’s great for family living and entertaining. The master is spacious as is the bath with a shower and a soaking tub. There’s also a second bedroom on the main floor. The kids’ rooms are upstairs. The main floor is all glistening hardwoods as are the hallways upstairs.”
The thoughtful floorplan has two staircases, one in the entry foyer and the other at the back. A butler pantry off the kitchen offers storage and makes entertaining even easier. The dining room and a study are in the front of the home; alength-wise gallery opening to the family area is a special architectural feature.
Taylor says the board-flat lawn is lush and meticulously maintained. It makes for a stunning frame for the spacious home.
Stover admits the family will miss all that land at their new home.
“We’ve loved the space so much, but we plan to buy a farm in the next year or so, giving us the room to roam on weekends,” he said.
He and his wife are excited about building this next home. “We like designing and building, and Trace Construction is just the best. We will all work together to create a home we will love like this one. We like going from the design to finished product,” he said.
The creativity, inspiration and the attention to detail will be a true gift to the new owners.
Taylor says the Two Rivers neighborhood, off Del Rio Pike, is a unique development in which all homes have big lawns, yet the location has every convenience.
“We had a lot of interest before the home even came on the market. It’s just a stunning home in a stunning setting. It will sell quickly,” says the affiliate broker with PARKS.
