With a mixture of personal home, commercial and investment projects in my business, figuring out how to use the budget in the most impactful way is important. Not every room needs a complete overhaul and can get a refreshed new look with some editing and updated décor. This apartment lobby is an example of how you can make a big difference on a budget.

Ready for a change but don’t have the budget to do a major overhaul? Here are a few easy ways to update your home.

Editing

The first step is to remove all decorative items from the room. Clear off tables, shelves and any other accessories and separate them into categories. Donate everything that is outdated, no longer works in the space or items you no longer like. Put the rest in an area that you can “shop” from when you are putting the room back together or can use in other rooms in your house.

It’s important to make your home a space you enjoy. You don’t have to have things around you that you don’t like no matter how much it cost you 10 years ago. It has served its purpose, and you can give it away so someone else can use it and make space to bring in things that you love. Be creative, make simple changes and create a room you want to spend time in with family and friends.

Stylishy yours,

Kelly
