Like many of you, I have missed outdoor concerts, in-person non-profit events, and all the traditions in Williamson County that were not able to take place last year. So I am not going to take this summer for granted.
I am excited about the new Sunday Supper Series brought to us by Chris Thomas of MADE SOUTH, restaurant owner and chef Maneet Chauhan of “Chopped” fame, and Chef Devin Walline of the Harpeth Hotel and 1799 Kitchen- where the series takes place.
I attended the first supper in the series in May and I was delighted to see such a collaborative effort between these three innovators creating a five star dining and interactive experience with guest chefs from other cities as a prelude to The Franklin Food and Wine Festival coming to Franklin in 2023.
Local favorite The Bunganut Pig celebrates 35 years! If a laid back happy hour on the patio at “The Pig” and some live acoustic music is what you have been missing – Bunganut Pig offers an opportunity for a respite from a long day.
The Williamson County Fair is back for 9 days of fun starting Friday, August 6th.
Brentwood Summer Concerts, Carnton Sunset Concert Series, Blackberry Jam and Bluegrass Along the Harpeth are back this year.
If all that summer music makes you happy, I suggest you carry those good vibes into the fall as Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival will be coming back September 25th and 26th with headliner Dave Matthews Band, the Black Keys, Maren Morris and more. There has never been a better time to “Make the Pilgrimage” and no better backdrop than the beautiful Park at Harlinsdale Farm.
In between these amazing events, you may feel the itch to get away and explore and create some memories with the family. Beau RV has rentals available and information on state park locations beckoning to be explored.
So whatever your passion is this summer- I am excited to get back to some sense of a new normal and I am grateful to get to experience some of the things I have missed the most!
